September 2008 — "Chinook may be the largest mall in Calgary, but it's not the best. The one thing that has always bothered me about Chinook is the layout of the mall. It's one long strip, so it takes a while to walk to the other end. I like Market Mall's loop set up much better, it seems easier to walk around. As for stores, I don't think there is really anything that makes Chinook stand out. The other malls in Calgary pretty well offer the same stores and have less crowds. "

August 2008 — "I enjoy shopping at Chinook Centre. They have a couple of stores not found at other malls in Calgary (i.e. Market Mall), including Williams-Sonoma, Bebe, Zara, and FCUK. These alone make it a worthwhile shopping trip. It can get very busy and crowded. The best time to go is early in the morning. As I write this, they are currently undergoing renovations (parkade and I think adding more stores), so extra patience getting in and out is advised :)"

"Bigger isn't Better"

April 2008 — "Chinook Centre is seriously over rated. Yes, it is big and has lots of stores, but it is just so overwhelming. It's busy and you feel like your fighting crowds the entire time. Selection-wise, there is little Chinook offers that Market Mall does not, and Market Mall has a much better atmosphere. "

September 2006 — "While this may be one of the ugliest malls in North America, it does have a good selection of stores (Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, l'Occitane etc.). I wish there was more for kids to do."
