January 2008 — "As a student, the Calgary Farmers Market was a great place for me to get my veggie and fruit fill for the week. I used to live on residence at Mount Royal College, which is very close to the market. Just about every weekend I would walk to the market and buy my fresh produce for the week. Although the market has a lot of fruit and vegetables, there also are an array of interesting stalls. One of my favourites is the stall that sells meat pies. They are so good! You can buy them frozen, so they are convenient to store at home. "

December 2007 — "The Calgary Farmers' Market is an experience that not many Calgarians know about yet, but it seems that people not from Calgary are finding it. That is to say, I met a number of people there that were from out of town when I sat down to eat my lunch of Kuku Paka and Butter Chicken which I bought from Shef's Fiery Kitchen. I met someone from New Zealand and a couple folks from Arizona and a couple from Saskatoon. It really is easy when sharing a table with strangers over some delicious food found by the "food court". People were eating pies, Chinese food and someone was eating some perogies and schnitzel.
The market has something for everyone, including teas, bagels, coffee, glass jewelery, felt items, bakery goods, candy, art, wood crafts, custom shoes, cheeses, organic produce, meat, eggs and milk, sausage, ice cream, etc.. The market is a really enjoyable experience for the whole family, even the little kids, where they can jump in the bouncy castle.
The vendors I spoke to were very nice and helpful, even when it was clear that they were very busy. Many vendors offer samples of their food which is nice if you don't know what to buy. Samples of sausages, dips, curries, chili and pies can fill your belly without opening your wallet, but you won't want to just sample, the food is really good and you'll want to take some home.
I will go back after this first time, it really is a little gem"

October 2007 — "This cute market has local and organic items, like meats, produce and milk, available. All the people who run booths here are friendly and helpful. Produce is not as expensive as people believe, so it is worth checking this market out before heading to Safeway. There are a few places to eat which have amazing food! This is a great place to spend an hour or two on the weekend."

February 2007 — "I may be a bit biased toward the Calgary Farmers' Market because they satisfied a pie craving I had (have) since leaving NZ. The large pie stall is obviously not only a drawcard to the markets for me, but for a good many people from all over the place, if the accents I could detect in the crowd hovering around the counter were anything to go by. The fresh-made pies are still not the same as from home, but are extremely delicious anyway, with a rich, crumbly pastry and extravagant filling choices. But pies aside, the Calgary Farmers' Market is well worth a regular visit. Stalls upon stalls heaped with fresh, organic produce mingle with interesting craft stalls and original artworks. I found everyone manning the stalls to be super friendly and not at all pushy... they seemed to really enjoy being there. The market is quite bustling and situated indoors so can even be enjoyed in the depths of winter."
