August 2008 — "My record store of choice, when it comes to buying vinyl, I've found this place to have some incredibly reasonable prices on new, and especially catalogue albums. This store's greatest asset may be the lack of pomp and pretense shown by the staff here. Unlike some record stores that seem to only employ hipsters that hate the music you buy and could care less about how long you had to wait at the counter for service, the staff at Melodiya are pleasant, and *gasp* are actually helpful when answering customer questions. The fact this place is connected to Phoenix comics is also a plus. "
