May 2007 — "I'm not a big "mall-type store" or "chain store" shopper, much preferring unique, one-of-a-kind boutiques. But, Tristan is an exception. Great service. Classic, investment pieces - but with just that bit of "something" special to give them that edge I love. I decided to really go all out and splurge on a new winter coat last year. I looked everywhere - nearly drove my daughter crazy. In the end, it was Tristan that had just the right coat. Was it inexpensive? No way! But, it is a classic that would look as wonderful on a 16 year old as on a 75 year old, depending on the hat, gloves, scarf, purse, etc. And, it has those little "extras details" none of the other 60 or so coats I looked at had. Although very classic and basic in cut (which means I'll have this coat forever!) it has beautiful "burned velvet" detailing giving it a slightly medieval or even goth edge to it - and yet, with conservative accessories, it's definitely an executive woman's coat. Change up the accessories and it's great for someone much younger, or for to wear for a cold winter's clubbing. Since that purchase, I have become a Tristan convert! With such versatile and well-made pieces and helpful staff, you absolutely can't go wrong leaving a paycheque or two here!"
