August 2010 — "Ikea is really a great place to grab dinner whenever you don't feel like cooking. It tastes decent, its cheap and its fast. The portions are small so you know you'll get a light meal. I had the salmon plate this time-not too dry and had enough flavor to make it decent. I have had the Swedish meatballs before and I love them. I think that would my choice of dish at the Ikea restaurant. Don't forget dessert-their frozen yogurt is so good for the price. "

August 2009 — ""Ikea" is supposed to be Swedish for common sense but I found no common sense on a recent trip to the store. First of all in a city of more than a million people, there is only one location and it's way out in the southeast, it's not even centrally located. I live in the northwest and it took awhile to get there. Second, it's not a good idea to go on a weekend afternoon as it was crazy busy! Strangely though, I found a significant amount of people were just eating and socializing rather than shopping. Perhaps, people should consider going to a restaurant for that or Ikea should not allow people to roam around the store with food and have a little picnic on the demo furniture. Perhaps, a little common sense? What the store has going for them is their prices, which are reasonable. I don't know how many more times I'll make the long trek there but the thought of watching a bunch of strangers eating 50 cent hot dogs while shopping is not so appealing."
