March 2010 — "Cross Iron Mills is the newest mega mall in the Calgary area. It is actually out of the city on Highway 2 north so a vehicle is necessary to access as there is currently no bus service to get there. Most of the stores are clothing stores, geared to young people, including young children. Most are the same 'names' as found in any other mall. There is a huge sporting goods store. The food court is large and has the same fare as other malls. The mall is spacious, bright, and has several entrances. This mall requires a lot of walking, so if your energy or ability is limited, find out which entrance is closest to a particular store you wish to visit. There are no rentals of strollers so be sure to bring your own. I enjoyed the decor and spacious walkways in this mall but was disappointed to not find any original shops that would make another trip worthwhile."

Cross Iron Mills opened its doors in the summer of 2009. The mall is located in Balzac, AB, just north of Calgary. The mall offers a wide variety of retail stores, dining and entertainment. Several outlet stores are also located in the mall. Cross Iron Mills is open seven days a week.
