August 2006 — "Why does the City of Calgary allow the development of these types of shopping areas? Not only do we have to drive to Westhills, we must also drive from store to store once we're there (I know, maybe Tim Hortons is behind it all; the tangled web of roads, speed bumps and four-way stops is actually a brilliantly-designed car funnel that leads to their drive-throughs). I shouldn't be so negative, there is some good in all of this: once you've been to Westhills, there's no need to go to Crowfoot Village, Deerfoot Meadows or Shawnessy because they all have the exact same stores."
